Synology RX410 delivers an effortless solution for volume expansion and data backup for Synology RackStation RS810+/RS810RP+ and RS812+/RS812RP+. The RX410 seamlessly scales up the storage capacity of the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ and RS812+/RS812RP+ by an additional 4 hard drives on-the-fly when connected directly to the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ and RS812+/RS812RP+.

Volume Expansion & Backup
When running out of the hard drive capacity on the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ and RS812+/RS812RP+, the Synology RX410 provides an easy way to immediately scale capacity by an additional 4 hard drives. The RAID volume on the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ and RS812+/RS812RP+ can be expanded directly without having to reformat the existing hard drives, ensuring the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ and RS812+/RS812RP+ continues its service during the capacity expansion. When created as a separate volume, the Synology RX410 provides an easy solution for backing up the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ and RS812+/RS812RP+.
Reliable Plug-n-use Design
The Synology RX410 is connected to the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ and RS812+/RS812RP+ using an eSATA cable with customdesigned, secure connectors on both ends, ensuring a reliable connection and maximum throughput. eSATA, with speeds of 3.0 Gb/sec, allows the hard drives in the connected Synology RX410 to operate as they are the internal ones of the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ and RS812+/RS812RP+, with no lag in data retrieval.
Green & Easy to Manage
HDD hibernation can be configured to take effect automatically when the system has been inactive for a specified period of time. This not only saves energy but also extends the lifespan of the hard disks. Synology RX410 is managed with the newest Synology DiskStation Manager, no additional firmware installation is needed.
