LaCie silverscreen is een USB-schijfstation dat ook via een AV-kabel op tv’s, videorecorders, kabelaansluitingen of satelliettuners kan worden aangesloten om opgeslagen films, muziek of foto’s onmiddellijk af te spelen. Sluit de silverscreen simpelweg aan op uw pc of Mac met behulp van de ultrasnelle USB-aansluiting om gegevens op te slaan. Vervolgens kan u uw media op vrijwel elke tv of monitor bekijken. De silverscreen ondersteunt video van HDTV-kwaliteit en geluid van Dolby® Digital- of DTS-kwaliteit, zodat u geen concessies hoeft te doen op kwaliteitsgebied bij thuistheaters. Deel films voor thuis en foto’s met vrienden en familie, of gebruik hem voor promoties en de levering van presentaties aan klanten. De gebruiksvriendelijke interface en afstandsbediening van de LaCie silverscreen maken een probleemloze instelling mogelijk. Via de functie VOD (Video On-Demand=video op verzoek) gaat u on line om via de DivX® -website DivX® VOD-films te huren of te kopen. Bouw uw eigen virtuele bibliotheek van maximaal 80 MPEG4 DviX-films, 15 MPEG-2 DVD-films * of maximaal 80.000 foto’s* of bijna 20.000 MP3’s* muziek en neem deze overal mee naartoe.
