Thanks to QTS 4.0’s intuitive user interface, system operations of the TS-470 Pro are smooth and handy. Its intelligent desktop allows you to find the desired functions quickly, create desktop shortcuts or group shortcuts, monitor important system information on a real-time basis, and open multiple application windows to run multiple tasks concurrently, bringing greater operating efficiency.

5.1 channel surround sound support with HD Station via HDMI
QNAP HD Station integrates the powerful XBMC v12 media player and web browser. With HDMI connectivity, you can connect the TS-470 Pro to a HDTV to enjoy all your rich multimedia content on the big screen. The splendid user interface and the support for 5.1 channel surround sound audio passthrough*, coupled with the powerful media transcoding capability of the TS-470 Pro, brings smooth playback of Full HD videos providing a quality home theater experience**. You can also turn your mobile devices into remote controls by installing the Qremote app or use MCE remote controls via the built-in IR receiver of the TS-470 Pro.
*An HDMI receiver is required for decoing multi-channel surround sound.
** The quality of video and music delivery would vary according to hardware and network environments.
Supports DLNA and AirPlay for media streaming
You can use DLNA compatible devices, such as HDTVs, Sony PS3, and Microsoft Xbox 360 to stream photos, videos and music stored on the TS-470 Pro. The Qfile mobile app on an iOS device allows you to browse videos and photos stored on the TS-470 Pro and play on a TV via AirPlay-enabled devices such as Apple TV. You can also install QAirplay app, available in the App Center, on the TS-470 Pro to steam your media contents directly on Apple TV, bypassing your mobile device thus saving the energy of your mobile device. Furthermore, the TS-470 Pro can be used as a PLEX media server to stream your content to any Smart TV or PLEX clients, such as smartphones and tablets.
Photo albums on the cloud
The TS-470 Pro acts as your photo vault for you to back up your favorite photos. The Photo Station makes photo sharing simple, and you can designate your own access right controls. Simply upload your photos to the TS-470 Pro to create and organize your photo albums through a web browser, and share with your family and friends through social networking sites such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Pinterest. Your mobile devices are useful too, with the Qfile mobile app in your iOS® or Android™ devices you can instantly upload photos to the TS-470 Pro.
Build your home music library and enjoy music anywhere
The Music Station helps categorize your music collection, and displays album covers to easily organize your personal playlists. Through the music station web player, you can enjoy your music anytime, anywhere with a few clicks. Thousands of local and global online Internet radio programs are also built-into the Music Station for you to enjoy.

24/7 download center
The TS-470 Pro is a perfect download center for high speed BT, Magnet, PT (Private Trackers), eMule, FTP, and HTTP downloads. After the download tasks are set ready, you can turn off the computer, and the TS-470 Pro will download as many HD videos as you want. With the QGet utility you can manage your download tasks on multiple NAS devices remotely on the local network or the Internet.
