The 5-bay W5810 Storage Server comes with the OS Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2012 R2 Essentials, a quad-core Intel Celeron J1900 2.0 GHz, and 4 GB DDR3 RAM. The operating system itself is installed on a separate 60-gigabyte SSD, leaving no space has to be sacrificed on the hard drives. A total of five SATA drives can be installed with a maximum capacity of 40 terabytes. The W5810 has two Gigabit LAN ports with failover support, three USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI port for connecting to an external monitor or TV.
Enhanced Boot Drive: Embedded SSD
To ensure the best performance possible, each WSS 2012 R2 Essentials copy is pre-installed on an embedded solid state drive. These boot drives are independent from the drive bays and allow for seamless setup and integration.
