The Ubiquiti UniFi Security Gateway (USG) is a professional router for SMEs and has a built-in firewall. Thanks to advanced hardware and software, the router can handle up to 2.4 million data packages per second. This is useful if, for example, you want to host one or more websites or make frequent use of peer-to-peer networks. With the Ubiquiti UniFi Security Gateway, a VPN connection between 2 networks can also be realized, for example to create a secure connection between a home worker and the corporate network.
VLAN and QoS
The UniFi Security Gateway offers VLAN support so that you can create separate networks, for example for different departments within your company. To ensure that telephone conversations and video streams always run smoothly, the UniFi Security Quality of Service (QoS) applies. With QoS the router automatically gives priority to voice and video traffic, so you will not be bothered by slow videos or faltering calls.

To handle the many simultaneous connections and amount of data, the Ubiquiti UniFi Security Gateway is equipped with a fast Dual-Core 1 GHz processor and 2GB DDR3 memory. The USG also has 4 GB of flash memory for configurations and firmware.
Unifi Controller software
The Ubiquiti UniFi Security Gateway is managed and configured with the Unifi Controller software. With this software, all your Ubiquiti hardware can be viewed and coordinated at a glance.
