Featuring a dedicated HDMI output to display 1080p Surveillance Station on a monitor without the need for a computer. NVR216 supports up to 9 channels of live view feeds from 720p/30fps. Synology Network Video Recorder NVR216 makes surveillance monitoring and playback simple. After the initial set up, users can simply connect an HDMI monitor and keyboard/ mouse to setup their Surveillance Station without the need for a PC. Synology NVR216 supports video recording of up to 9 network cameras and each camera can be configured up to 5 megapixel resolution. Without requiring any costly computer, NVR216 is a compact all-in-one solution for monitoring live feeds, changing IP camera settings, and even browsing stored video footage.
User Friendly Interface and Wide-ranging Compatibility
Thanks to the versatile features of Surveillance Station, NVR216 is suitable for retail stores or small scale deployment. NVR216 has a total of three USB ports with one of the USB ports being USB 3.0. Users can connect a mouse, a keyboard or a joystick to easily navigate between different camera streams and use the audio input port to connect a microphone and communicate via two-way audio enabled cameras. In the event of power failure, NVR216 supports Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to ensure continuous power supply and can safely power down before the UPS battery runs out.

NVR216 comes with one eSATA port, allowing connection to Synology Expansion Unit DX513 to expand the storage from 2 to 7 drives. With DX513 connected, users are able to create a RAID 5, RAID 6 volume to further enlarge the usable space and safely protect valuable video footage.

NVR216 is engineered with energy efficiency in mind. It is extremely quiet and requires only 14.14W when paired with 9 channels of camera streaming and continuous recording. It only consumes as little power as one energy saving light bulb. As a PC-less surveillance solution, NVR216 economizes on both equipment and energy costs in the long-run.
