For outdoor areas where many devices need to stay connected at the same time, coverage alone is not enough. The TP-Link Omada EAP668-Outdoor HD is built for high-density scenarios and supports up to 1,024 devices, making it a strong fit for business sites, events, warehouse environments and busy outdoor zones.
Its Wi-Fi 6 capacity, combined with features such as MU-MIMO and OFDMA, helps keep performance stable when many clients are requesting data simultaneously. This makes it suitable for environments with multiple teams, scanners, cameras or visitors connected at once.
Connectivity is a key strength of this model. It includes a 2.5G PoE-in port, an additional Gigabit port with PoE-out, and a 10G SFP+ slot for high-speed uplinks or fiber connections. This is useful when you want the access point to integrate into a faster backbone network.
Deployment stays straightforward with PoE power. The EAP668 supports 802.3at and 802.3bt, and can provide PoE+ output via the Gigabit port when powered through 802.3bt input. This allows you to power an additional device on site.
For outdoor use, it features an IP68-rated enclosure, lightning protection and a wide operating temperature range, helping it stay reliable in demanding conditions all year round.
Management and expansion are handled through Omada. You can manage it centrally via the app or web interface, and expand with mesh and seamless roaming to maintain consistent Wi-Fi across larger areas.
