Dune HD Smart HE

Dit product is een uitbreidingsmodule voor de Dune HD Smart B1, D1 of H1. Dit is dus geen los werkende mediaspeler.

De HD Smart serie van Dune is een uniek modulair systeem waarbij u zelf kiest welke functionaliteit u wel en niet wilt. Er zijn drie basis modellen: de B1 (speler met een Blu-ray disk drive), de D1 (speler met informatie display en plaats voor een 3,5" SATA harddisk) en de H1 (speler met hot-swap hard disk tray voor een 3,5" SATA harddisk). Naast deze standaard modellen zijn er producten om de gekozen speler uit te breiden met een Blu-ray disk drive (BE) of harde schijf (HE). Om deze uitbreidingen te koppelen aan uw Smart speler kunt u gebruik maken van de officiele HD Smart bevestigingsbeugels (beschikbaar voor 2 of 3 modules) zodat de onderdelen netjes naast elkaar komen te staan.

De Dune HD Smart BE is een van de uitbreidingsets uit de Dune HD Smart serie en breidt een van de basisspelers uit met een hot-swappable harddisk bay en 2 USB 2.0 poorten. Door deze uitbreiding kan de media speler ook als simpele NAS functioneren. De module wordt aangesloten via een eSATA-kabel.

Met de smart serie kunt u uw ideale mediaspeler opbouwen uit losse componenten. U kunt 2 of 3 modules naast elkaar plaatsen en indien gewenst aan elkaar bevestigen met de bijbehorende Bracket. Om een speler te kunnen samenstellen heeft u  1 module met speler nodig (D1, B1 of H1) waar u naar wens losse modules aan kunt toevoegen.

Description

The "Smart HE" extension module is intended primarily for use with Dune HD players, in particular, any of the base modules (players) of Dune HD Smart family or with Dune HD Max player. This module allows to extend Dune HD players capabilities with a rack for installation of 3.5 inch SATA HDD with hot-swap support. Besides, connection to a player may be performed by either USB 2.0 or eSATA interface.

Also, if desired, the Smart HE module may be used with a PC as a USB or eSATA HDD box.

Being connected to a Dune player or a PC via USB 2.0 interface (using the USB Slave connector on the rear panel of the extension module) the module also serves as a USB hub: two USB Host 2.0 connectors of the module may be used to connect additional external devices which are therefore made available to the Dune player or the PC.

Please pay attention to the fact that when the module is connected to a player or a PC using the eSATA interface, both USB Host 2.0 connectors of the module are inactive and may not be used!

Bundled with the HD Smart HE extension module there comes the 12V 3A power adaptor, USB 2.0 cable (Host-Slave), eSATA-eSATA cable, and the brief user guide.

Also please note that the product is not equipped with any means of active cooling (e.g. fans), because is intended firstly for using in noiseless installations in the scope of a home cinema system. Thus, to prevent overheating of devices, we strongly recommend to use together with this module only HDD models with low heat production, in particular, models intended for usage in satellite receivers (e.g. Green, EcoGreen HDD models and the like).
