 De Synology RX1211(RP) is een energiezuinige en zeer simpele te gebruiken uitbreiding voor de Synology RS2211+ en RS2211RP+. Met een simpele aansluitingen is de RX1211 aan de al geinstalleerde RackStation te koppelen en beschikt de server over de extra opslag van de RX1211. Hiermee is het mogelijk de server van een totaal van 22 SATA 3,5" harde schijven te voorzien.

Het verschil tussen de RX1211 en de RX1211RP is dat de RP-variant beschikt over een extra voeding waardoor het mogelijk is door te blijven werken ook als een van de voedingen defect raakt.

The RX1211/RX1211RP seamlessly scales up the storage capacity of the Synology RS2211+/RS2211RP+ by an additional 12 hard drives on-the-fly when connected directly to the Synology RS2211+/RS2211RP+.

Volume Expansion & Backup
When running out of the hard drive capacity on the Synology RS2211+/RS2211RP+, the Synology RX1211/
RX1211RP provides an easy way to immediately scale capacity by additional 12 hard drives. The RAID
volume on the Synology RS2211+/RS2211RP+ can be expanded directly without having to reformat the
existing hard drives, ensuring the Synology RS2211+/RS2211RP+ continues its service during the capacity
expansion. When created as an independent volume, the Synology RX1211/RX1211RP provides an easy
solution for backing up the Synology RS2211+/RS2211RP+.

Reliable Plug-n-use Design
The Synology RS2211+/RS2211RP+ securely connects to the Synology RX1211/RX1211RP with an
InfiniBand cable, offering high-bandwidth connectivity to further ensure efficiency. It allows the hard drives
in the connected Synology RX1211/RX1211RP to operate as they are the internal ones of the Synology
RS2211+/RS2211RP+, with no lag in data retrieval.

Green & Easy to Manage
HDD hibernation or HDD deep sleep mode can be configured to take effect automatically when the system
has been inactive for a specified period of time. This not only saves energy but also extends the lifespan of
the hard disks.

Synology RX1211/RX1211RP is managed with Synology DiskStation Manager 3.1, no additional software
installation is required.
