Thecus lanceert de nieuwe Windows Storage Server NAS reeks om uw data via Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 te delen. Deze applicatie biedt nieuwe mogelijkheden om aan uw bedrijfsmatige vereisten van een NAS server te voldoen. De verbetering van de traditionele protocols (NFS, SMB), Single-Instance Storage (SIS), iSCSI target en Remote administration zijn hier enkele voorbeelden van. Ook zijn de producten in de 'W' serie voorzien van een HDMI output, USB 3.0 aansluitingen en bestaat de mogelijkheid om 10GbE kaarten toe te voegen. Ook hoeven er voor dit apparaat geen extra Client Access License (CAL) aangeschaft te worden, er is geen limiet op het aantal gebruikers van deze Windows Storage Server 2008 R2.
